(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Cedar Rapids city officials will hold a ribbon-cutting for a newly completed project this afternoon.
The Heights features 25 affordable housing units in what used to be the Colonial Center on 2nd Ave SE in Wellington Heights.
The project was funded with federal housing grants.
The Heights will be owned and operated by the Hawkeye Area Community Action Program. They were chosen through an RFP process, assuring affordability in keeping with federal guidelines over a 15 year-period.
