DES MOINES, Iowa -- -- We're getting a better idea of just how big former Iowa basketball great Caitlin Clark's contract is with Nike.
The Wall Street Journal and The Athletic are reporting Clark is getting $28 million across eight years from the athletic apparel company--as well as her own signature shoe.
Clark--college basketball's all-time leading scorer and top pick in the WNBA draft--will start her professional career with the Indiana Fever.
Her Nike deal vastly outpaces her playing contract that was to pay her just over $76,000 in the first year, and about $338,000 for the deal's four years.
