The Douglas County Election Commission summarizes voter registration deadlines that must be met for those needing to register to vote for the 2024 Statewide Presidential Primary Election:
Deadline for online registrations: prior to midnight, Monday, April 29th, 2024.
Deadline for mailed registrations to be postmarked: Monday, April 29th, 2024.
Deadline for voter registration at DMV offices, state agencies, Omaha Public Library locations, or by deputy registrars: Monday, April 29th, 2024.
Deadline for voter registration forms to be delivered to the election office by someone other than the person registering: Monday, April 29th, 2024.
“Monday, April 29th, 2024 is the deadline to register to vote using any method other than coming to the Election Commission office in person,” said Brian Kruse, Douglas County Election Commissioner. “If voters miss this deadline, they can still register in person at our office until 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 3rd, 2024.”
The Election Commission says all registered voters (whether affiliated with a political party or not) are eligible to vote in the Primary Election on Tuesday, May 14th, 2024.
Voters may confirm their polling place and political districts and view their sample ballot by visiting the Election Commission website at www.votedouglascounty.com and entering their house number and zip code in the gray “Find Your Voting Information” area or by calling (402) 444-VOTE (8683) during business hours.
