(Lincoln, NE) -- Most of eastern Nebraska remains in some form of drought in this week's U.S. Drought Monitor. This week's report shows little change from last week. The Omaha area remains in moderate drought. Nearly a dozen counties west of Omaha remain in severe drought. Southwest Iowa is also in moderate drought.
Several rounds of thunderstorms are expected tonight through this weekend. Periods of severe weather will be possible, especially during the afternoon & evening on Friday and Saturday
