(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A group of Iowa veterans will spend the day in Washington, D.C. as part of the 50th Eastern Iowa Honor Flight.
88 veterans will be able to tour war memorials around the nation's capital. The flight took off this morning and will return around 9 o'clock tonight.
A ceremony will be held at the Eastern Iowa Airport starting at 7:30 to welcome the veterans back home.
