(Hiawatha, IA) -- A 14-year-old boy is accused of shooting at police officers at a Linn County gas station this (Thursday) morning. Hiawatha police were called to the Big 10 Mart at 1225 Boyson Road for reports that a boy flashed a gun at a customer.
Hiawatha Police say the juvenile fired at least twice, then surrendered. He's been taken to the Linn County Juvenile Detention Center and his facing multiple charges. There were no injuries.
The juvenile is charged with:
1: Attempted Murder of a Peace Officer
2: Burglary 3rd Degree, two counts
3: Theft 3rd Degree
4: Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime
5: Carrying Weapons by a Prohibited Person
