(Joslin, IL) -- A new report says a Quad Cities-area meat processor has dumped tens-of-millions of pounds of pollutants into a local waterway.
The Environmental Protection Agency report says Tyson Foods in Joslin dumped over 50-million pounds of wastewater into the Rock River over the last four years.
The wastewater was tainted with nitrogen and phosphorus, animal parts, and E. coli.
Tyson says they use a robust system to lessen environmental impact.
The EPA say they're working on limits on what wastewater can be dumped.
