(Davenport, IA) -- A former Davenport alderwoman says she thinks the city attorney broke the law.

Former 8th Ward alderwoman Judith Lee testified in a lawsuit brought by a resident against the city, that she was never consulted, or asked to vote on separation agreements with former city administrator Corri Spiegel, or two other employees.

Lee says she wasn't aware of Spiegel's agreement until two days before it was signed on behalf of the city by former city attorney Tom Warner.

Along with the lawsuit, the city of Davenport is also being investigated by the State Auditor over the payments.
