Deere-Wiman Home In Moline Deemed Historic Landmark

(Moline, IL) -- A heritage home in Moline is now officially a local historic landmark.

Moline City Council approved the recognition of Deere-Wiman House on Tuesday.

The Butterworth Foundation says the landmark status will help get more funding for restoration and preservation of the property.

The home was built in 1872 by John Deere's son Charles.

It was home to four generations of Deere descendants.
