(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A three-year-old boy from Cedar Rapids drowned in a backyard pool in northern Illinois over the weekend.
The Winnebago County Coroner's Office says the boy was at a family member's home on Saturday when the drowning happened. He was found in the pool and rushed to an area hospital but was pronounced dead. The Coroner's Office has confirmed the cause of death to be drowning.
No charges have been filed, and no foul play is suspected.
