Run-Off From Heavy Rains Continues To Flow In Omaha/Council Bluffs Area

The National Weather Service says flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone areas in the Omaha/Council Bluffs region continues due to heavy rain earlier this week.

Emergency management reports flooding along Wahoo Creek in Saunders County.

Some locations that will experience flooding include Ashland, Memphis, and Memphis State Recreation Area.

The good news is an earlier Flood Warning for Douglas, Washington, Saunders, and Butler Counties is no longer in effect.

Forecasters expect water levels in the Papillion Creek system to continue to fall, though run-off of rain has caused some lowland flooding as water pours into the Platte and Missouri Rivers.
