Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has officially requested an expedited Presidential Disaster Declaration for Iowa counties impacted by this week's severe weather.

The letter requests assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to help homeowners and businesses in Adair, Polk, Story, and Montgomery counties.

Reynolds also requested assistance from FEMA's Public Assistance program for Adair County to help with storm damage clean-up and repairs.

More counties may be added once the request is approved.
