(Lincoln, NE) -- Lincoln’s Summer Reading Challenge will soon begin.

The Lincoln City Libraries says the theme for its 87th annual Summer Reading Challenge is "Adventure Begins At Your Library".

Those who register will get a free ticket to see a Saltdogs baseball game and a single-entry pool pass, along with a discount to see the Pinewood Performing Arts Center production of Tarzan.

The city's website says those who complete the challenge can enter drawings for $100 prize packages to area businesses and earn discount and free item coupons.

Participants can also earn tickets for logging reading and activities.

All tickets may be devoted to one prize package or spread out over several prizes.

All challenge participants will be entered in a drawing for three separate grand prizes of $250.00 each for performances of the winner’s choice at the Lied Center for Performing Arts for the 2024-2025 season.

Registration begins Friday, May 24th and the challenge will go through July 31.

You can register on Lincoln City Libraries website, any library location or by downloading the Beanstack app.
