(Ames, IA) -- Iowa State University Police say seven people were arrested at the George Strait/Chris Stapleton concert Saturday night. Five of those were public intoxication. Police say there were 91 first aid calls. One minor was cited for alcohol possession. One person was ejected. It was the first concert at Jack Trice Stadium since 1999.
The team at Iowa State University Police Department would like to thank all our public safety partners who helped us at Jack Trice Stadium last night for the George Strait Concert. It takes a dedicated team to pull off safety and security for an event like this! We could not do it without our partners. We will see you all back at Jack Trice Stadium when football begins.
The last concert in Jack Trice stadium was in April of 1999. It featured George Strait, Tim McGraw, the Dixie Chicks, Kenny Chesney, Jo Dee Messina, Mark Wills and Asleep At The Wheel.
