Deputies Injured by Fleeing Vehicles after Nance County House Party

(Nance County, NE) -- Two Nance County Sheriff's deputies suffered injuries while trying to break up a house party with over 100 people in attendance on Friday. A social media post from the Sheriff's office says the deputies were struck by fleeing vehicles, suffering minor injuries as a result.

Eight of the fleeing vehicles ended up in a ditch as part of the melee.

The post further says damage to the property was in excess of $3,000, with a nearby cemetery also sustaining damages.

Deputies were still able to hand out over 30 citations to minors for possession of alcohol. They say other charges are pending.
