Iowa DNR Set To Host Annual Free Fishing Weekend, June 7 To 9

(Iowa) -- The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is hosting their annual "Free Fishing Weekend."

The event will take place this weekend, June 7th though the 9th. Ideal weather is forecasted for the weekend. With temps in the high 70s.

The Bluegill spawn is in full swing, making it a great time to fish, with reports indicating high fish activity.

DNR encourages people to take advantage of this opportunity to go fishing without needing a fishing license.
