A man from Marion is in custody after three people were found dead, and a fourth critically injured near Robins in rural Linn County.

The Linn County Sheriff's Office says 34 year-old Luke Truesdell is facing three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of three people. The victims have been identified by police as:

  • 44-year old Romondus Lamar Cooper of Cedar Rapids.
  • 26-year old Keonna Victoria Ryan of Cedar Rapids
  • 33-year old Amanda Sue Parker of Vinton.

34-year old Brent Anthony Brown was air-lifted to a hospital and remains in critical condition.

Police originally responded to an out-building on 3699 East Otter Road around 4:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

The Linn County Sheriff's Office says the victims appear to have been killed with a metal pipe. They also believe among the possible motives was the possibility of the crime being made into a movie.

The investigation into these deaths continue.
