Cedar Rapids Woman Dead After Collapsing While Hiking in Colorado

(Mesa County, CO) -- A Cedar Rapids woman is dead after collapsing while hiking in western Colorado Monday.

Investigators say 54 year-old Marsha Cook was pronounced dead while hiking a trail at Colorado National Monument. Her exact cause of death has yet to be determined, but investigators say there was a heat dome blanketing the area at the time of her collapse.
