(Lincoln, NE) -- The three peregrine falcon chicks born at the Nebraska State Capitol Building were banded and taken to a checkup Wednesday.
The two female and one male chick born in the nest box near the building appear to be in good health.
The ankle bands will aid in tracking, research and conservation.
Name suggestions are being taken on the Nebraska Game and Parks website through June 20th.
Voting will take place June 21-30.
The winning names will be announced on July first, and the people who submitted winning names will get a free year-long subscription to Nebraskaland Magazine.
