(Lincoln, NE) -- A new budget proposal would close the University of Nebraska's budget shortfall with a combination of cuts and a slight tuition increase.

The university says the proposal would include modest cuts across its four campuses as well as the office of the president. There would also be a tuition increase of $135 dollars per semester. The proposal will be presented to the board of regents next Thursday.

The full budget proposal is available on the University of Nebraska's website.
