City Of Omaha Marina Gains Safety Feature

Through a grant from a boating safety nonprofit called "Sea Tow Foundation," the City of Omaha announces N.P. Dodge Park Marina on the Missouri River is one of over 1,300 locations across the U.S. that has a life jacket loaner station.

The Parks, Recreation, Public Property Department says the loaner station in the N.P. Dodge Park gas dock facility will hold life jackets that local boaters may borrow and use, free of charge.

Available sizes range from infant to Adult L.

Boaters may borrow the life jackets at no cost and are asked to return them, so they are available for others.

Since 2008, the "Sea Tow Foundation" has distributed over 100,000 life jackets to local businesses and organizations across the country.

The City says jackets are available when the gas dock is open Saturdays and Sundays.
