(Clinton, IA) -- Clinton voters approved 62-million dollars for renovations of Clinton High School two weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

Despite workarounds to offset inflation costs since then, the Clinton Community School District is looking for more money to complete work on the high school theater.

Gary DeLacy, Clinton Schools Superintendent tells WQAD News 8 that Phase One of the project updated classrooms. Phase Two included the performing arts center, and Phase Three will involve demolishing and rebuilding the front end of the school, and adding a new cafeteria.
