Des Moines Hosting National Speech and Debate Tournament This Week

(Des Moines, IA) -- Students from across the country will be in Des Moines this week for the National Speech and Debate Tournament.

Competitions will take place across the Des Moines Metro, including at the Iowa Events Center, Waukee High School, Waukee Northwest High School, Des Moines East High School, and Roosevelt High School. Roughly 15 hundred students from schools from across the nation will compete throughout the week, with the finals taking place Thursday and Friday at the Iowa Events Center.
