The Polk County Sheriff's Office is identifying the victim in a single-car fatal crash in Altoona.
34-year old Brock Pope of Bondurant was killed Monday on NE 46th street, when he lost control of the car he was driving, went into a ditch, and hit a tree.
The car then rolled before coming to a stop in a ditch.
Deputies say they believe the car was traveling at a high rate of speed, which may have contributed to the crash.
