(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The Eastern Iowa Airport is on track to beat the previous passenger record set in 2023. Their current record is 1.4 million passengers choosing the airport in 2023.
The airport director claims the passenger traffic is up ten percent than the previous year. If the rates stay consistent than the airport is on track to beating their 2023 passenger count record.
The director also gave an update of the ten-year renovation plan with the final phase set to be complete by the year 2025. The 68-million-dollar plan includes upgrades to the educational partnerships, the addition of a parking deck, and added restaurants and bars inside the terminal.
