Weather-Related Threats Monitored In Omaha/Council Bluffs Region

The Meteorologists at the Omaha National Weather Service Office in Valley say hot and humid conditions will result in "feels like" temperatures of 100-110 on Monday, and a heat advisory is in effect from Monday afternoon into the evening.

Similar conditions are expected Tuesday, mainly south of I-80.

Otherwise, we will see periodic storm chances throughout the work week.

As there are major flood concerns with rivers and creeks being watched closely, the Storm Prediction Center says there's a slight risk for severe weather, level 2 out of 5, for the Omaha/Council Bluffs, and Lincoln area.

They say any storms Monday evening may be widely scattered, meaning most will not see anything, but any storms that do develop could produce damaging winds or hail.
