(Davenport, IA) -- The first of what could be several rounds of thunderstorms today rolled through the QCA in the past hour. High winds, large hail, and flash flooding are the threats with today's storms, adding to already swollen area rivers.

Matt Wilson, with the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities says the Mississippi River will hit 16-feet Friday, 18-feet Tuesday, and could remain at flood stage for a couple of weeks.

Moderate flooding is expected on the Wapsi River. Rock River flooding should be minor.
