Body Found In Backseat Of Iowa Woman's Crashed Car In Minnesota

(North Liberty, IA) -- An Iowa woman is in custody in Minnesota after police found a body in the backseat of a crashed car.

The Olmsted County Sheriff's Office responded to a single-vehicle crash Saturday, June 22nd on interstate-90 in Olmsted County near Rochester, and found 32-year-old Margot Lewis of North Liberty, Iowa, standing next to the vehicle.

When checking to see if there was anyone else in the vehicle, police discovered the body of 35-year-old Liara Tsai of Minneapolis, in the backseat wrapped in blood covered blankets.

Lewis is being held in the Olmsted County Jail on a $1 Million bond.

She is charged with Interference With a Dead Body.
