Des Moines Man Arrested for Theft at Knoxville High School

(Knoxville, IA) -- A Des Moines man and an unnamed juvenile are in custody for theft and damage to Knoxville High School in early June. Police say 20-year-old August Cawley is facing felony charges of theft, criminal mischief and burglary. He's accused of entering the school on the evening of June 2. When inside, he's accused of riding around on janitorial equipment and stealing a camera. He's also accused of stealing an electric wheel chair and riding it off school grounds. The total estimated cost of stolen items is over $4,000.
