Water Taxi Service Suspended As Mississippi Continues To Rise

(Moline, IL) -- Water taxi service in the Quad Cities is suspended as the Mississippi continues to rise.

MetroLink is announcing suspension of The Channel Cat until the river recedes below flood stage, and the service is safe to operate.

The river is expected to hit major flood stage of 18-feet at Lock & Dam 15 tomorrow night, and crest at 19.2-feet by Saturday.

Those levels could change with rain forecast for tomorrow.
