Cedar River Forecast To Flood Again Due To Recent Rain

(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Last night's rain was worse in some parts of the Corridor than others. The National Weather Service reports that Iowa City received 1.5" of rain, while Cedar Rapids got around an inch.

Alex Gibbs, Meteorologist with the National Weather Service says investigators will visit Iowa City today to check out reports of a tornado southwest of the city.

A Flood Watch has been issued for the Cedar River. It's expected to rise again to minor flood stage of 12.3 feet by Monday because of last night's rain, with more to come tomorrow.
