(Davenport, IA) -- Quad City River Bandit fans call Modern Woodmen Park "Ballpark Island" these days. Waters from the swollen Mississippi River have surrounded the ballpark, forcing baseball fans to use a gangplank to get from the parking lot to the stadium.

River Bandits General Manager Paul Kleinhans-Schulz tells WQAD they'll keep playing as long as the ballpark is accessible.

The River Bandits next play at home, Tuesday, July 9th against Peoria. The Mississippi River is projected to reach 19-feet next week. The River is under a flood warning from Minnesota to southern Missouri.
