Road Closures on Highway 69 Between Ankeny and Ames Start Monday

(Ankeny, IA) -- Travelers may experience some delays around Ankeny and Huxley starting on Monday, July 8th.

Highway 69 (also known as E 14th Street) is set to close between NE 54th Street and 126th Avenue beginning on Monday, July 8th, for bridge replacement over Four Mile Creek. Work is scheduled to be complete by the spring of 2025.

Another section of Highway 69 will close between Ames and Huxley, starting on July 11, for work on the Walnut Creek Bridge. This stretch of the highway should be reopened by the end of September.
