Omaha Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested

A Lincoln man now faces charges in connection with two Omaha robberies.

Omaha Police arrest 43-year old Sherman Wade in connection with last week's robbery of the US Bank branch near 90th and Maple Streets and a robbery earlier this year at a auto parts store.

He's in Lancaster County Corrections and will face extradition to Douglas County.

Police say Wade is also booked on a federal probation violation warrant, as he was on federal probation from a previous bank robbery when these two robberies occurred.

Police say the bank robbery was particularly aggressive with employees being zip-tied.

Omaha Police are thanking the United States Marshals Service, Lincoln Police Department, Lancaster County Sheriff's Office, and the Nebraska State Patrol for their assistance in the investigation and arrest.

The OPD Robbery Unit is seeking a second suspect in the US Bank robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the OPD Robbery Unit at 402-444-4600 or "Omaha Crime Stoppers" anonymously at 402-444-STOP, at www.omahacrimestoppers.org or on the P3 Tips mobile app.
