(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A dog was killed in a house fire in Cedar Rapids Thursday morning.
The Cedar Rapids Fire Department says crews responded to reports of the fire a little after 6:15am Thursday. Crews found a fire in the kitchen and were able to extinguish the flames quickly. No one was home at the time of the fire, but a dog was killed.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
