Des Moines Sees Steady Housing Market in June

(Des Moines, IA) -- The Des Moines area saw a steady housing market in June.

The number of available homes in the Des Moines area rose in June to 3,375, an increase of 21.4%. Home sales dropped by 12.7%, and the median home price rose 2.5% to $307,000. Homes are still selling quickly in the Des Moines metro, with an average of 47 days on the market.

June also saw 902 homes sold conventionally in the Des Moines area, 227 homes bought with cash outright, and 154 homes purchased with FHA loans.
