(Davenport, IA) -- Davenport Interim City Administrator Mallory Merritt is stepping down.
Merritt is announcing her resignation effective August 16th, to take a job at Russell Group.
She was named interim city administrator in November following the departure of former City Administrator Corri Spiegel.
The Iowa State Auditor's Office is investigating the city of Davenport's handling of a 1.6-million dollar settlement payout to Spiegel.
