Nebraska Republican U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts is among political officeholders demanding answers from the leaders of the U.S. Secret Service and U.S. Department of Homeland Security after the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.
In a letter, Ricketts calls for a thorough review of the safety measures and procedures that were in place in the days leading up to the attack in western Pennsylvania and the response immediately following.
The letter was sent to Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle and Alejandro Mayorkas, Secretary of Homeland Security.
