(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- With the Iowa Racing & Gaming Commission ready to consider an application from a Linn County group for a casino in Cedar Rapids, those opposed are still working to renew the state's moratorium on new licenses that expired July 1st.

Iowa State Rep Bobby Kaufmann tells Iowa's News Now he's worried a new Cedar Rapids casino will take revenue from the Riverside casino in his district. He says there are others in his caucus who hold concerns about gambling as a whole.

The Racing & Gaming Commission agreed on a timeline to consider an application from Linn County on Friday, with a decision expected in February.
