(Moline, IL) -- Henry County, Illinois has declared a local state of emergency for Kewanee and Wethersfield Townships southeast of the Quad Cities, the area seemingly hardest hit by last night's storms.

National Weather Service teams will be out there to survey damage this morning.

Meteorologist Ed Holicky says several areas in the QCA recorded winds gusts in the 70 and 80 mile-an-hour range. He says funnel clouds were reported in Reynolds, Andover, and Kewanee south and east of the Quad Cities.

MidAmerican Energy shows over 15-thousand people in the QCA without power as of 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, and expects it could be Wednesday before many see power restored.

Police advise caution as several roads in the region are blocked or closed due to downed tree limbs.
