(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A former employee of an eastern Iowa manufacturer says the company bribed a city official.
In a lawsuit, Tali Washburn says she was wrongfully terminated for blowing the whistle on safety concerns at C6-Zero in early 2022.
Washburn says the company paid for the house of a Marengo city official to get a safety plan approved.
An explosion at the Marengo shingle reclamation plant later that year injured a dozen people and forced an evacuation of the town.
