The Omaha Airport Authority says, for the first time, Omaha's Eppley Airfield had over half -a -million passengers flying through in a single month.
The new record-setting total of 514,758 passengers in June broke the previous record of 487,205 set just this past May.
The new milestone is also an 8.8% increase over June 2023 passenger totals.
In a news release, the authority says strong summer travel, turnout for the annual NCAA Men’s College World Series, and increased flight options at the Omaha airport contributed to the record numbers.
Airport managers say in June, the eight airlines at Eppley provided ten percent more capacity than a year ago.
