Quad Cities Area Tornado Count From Monday's Derecho Now Five

(Davenport, IA) -- The number of tornadoes that hit the QCA Monday night is growing.

The National Weather Service now confirms five tornadoes touched down in the region.

Investigators now say a second twister hit Kewanee where hundreds of trees were damaged during the derecho.

Another was confirmed in Fairport, Iowa, just east of Muscatine.

Those are in addition to the tornado that touched down in Davenport and Bettendorf, and an EF-1 that traveled from Taylor Ridge to Andover.
