(Ely, IA) -- City leaders in Ely, Iowa, south of Cedar Rapids, are breaking ground on a new project.
Main Street Legacy will bring storefronts with housing above them to the corner of Dows Street and Main Street downtown...
Ely Mayor Scott Ladwig tells Iowa's News Now that its a project residents have wanted for a long time.
Ladwig says construction will start this Fall and wrap up near the end of 2025.
The cost of the project is around $7-million.
