Flood Relief Available As Quad Cities Rivers Recede

(Davenport, IA) -- Two local agencies are helping residents affected by flooding on Quad Cities area rivers.

The American Red Cross and Salvation Army are distributing drinking water and flood cleanup kits today and Friday between 3:00pm and 5:00pm at the former Pleasant Valley Fire Station in Bettendorf, and Westside Assembly Church in Davenport.

The Rock River at Moline will drop below flood stage tonight.

The Mississippi at Lock & Dam 15 will drop below minor flood stage of 15-feet around Noon tomorrow.

Davenport crews have already begun removing HESCO barriers on River Drive.
