(West Des Moines, IA) -- Crossroads Park, near 50th and Ashworth in West Des Moines, is closed after a large fight reportedly involving 50 people. West Des Moines Police say responding officers found evidence of illegal drug use, along with a loaded AK-47 rifle abandoned at the park. According to a press statement, 18-year-old Mareon Wilson was also arrested and is charged for illegally carrying a handgun underage. Officials say the closure comes after an earlier shooting in June that left two people injured. Officials are planning on reopening Crossroads Park by Monday afternoon.
