Hooey Moves from Court Reporting to Clerk Magistrate

(Butte, NE) -- A Nebraska court reporter, previously employed with the Holt County Courthouse in O'Neill, has been chosen to serve as the Clerk Magistrate in both Rock and Boyd Counties. Kami Hooey's new role has administrative and some judicial duties, including accepting pleas in traffic and misdemeanor cases, and setting bail. Hooey is under the direction of a Nebraska 8th District Court judge.

Hooey started her new role on July 1st, replacing former Clerk Magistrate Cathy Reiman, who retired after 34 years of service to the court system.
