(Shenandoah, IA) -- A pair of Iowa parents is facing charges after their kids were left in a makeshift cage. Police say a pair of 26-year-olds left their children with relatives and told them to keep them in a cage made from a pack-and-play, a baby gate roof and zip ties. They say one kid was able to escape, and they found them covered in poop. The parents are being held without bond in southwest Iowa's Fremont County.
