California Man Going To Prison For Mailing Meth To Iowa

(Muscatine, IA) -- A California man will spend 15 years in prison for sending packages of methamphetamine to southeastern Iowa.

The United States Department of Justice says from October 2020 to July 2022, 35-year-old Jose Antonio Reyes conspired with others to mail large amounts of meth from California to Iowa.

He mailed two packages to Muscatine for distribution each containing a pound of meth.

Reyes was sentenced Tuesday, July 30 to serve 188 months in federal prison as well as five years of supervised release for Conspiracy to Distribute 50 Grams or More of Methamphetamine and Distribution of 50 Grams or More of Methamphetamine.
