(Johnston, IA) -- A central Iowa man is in custody facing charges after a deadly motorcycle crash last month.
The Johnston Police Department says 44 year-old Todd Phillips of Colfax is facing multiple charges, including leaving the scene of a fatal accident. Investigators say the crash happened just after midnight on July 27th in Des Moines on Merle Hay Road.
Officers found a woman at the scene in critical condition. She'd been a passenger on Phillips' motorcycle and later died of her injuries.
